About Me

Hello! My name is Donna Burns, and I graduated from Paradise Valley Community College in 2019 with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. I maintained a 3.7 GPA and was proud to serve as the President of the Business Club, where I led peer workshops and academic support sessions for fellow students.

I’m passionate about education and financial literacy, and I enjoy helping others understand math, reading, and foundational study skills — especially students in grades 3 through 8. My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s pace and learning style.

After college, I launched a virtual bookkeeping consultancy working with small businesses, medical practices, and law firms. My career goal is to continue growing my business while also tutoring students who need personalized support in math and academic confidence.

I believe that strong fundamentals create confident learners, and I’m excited to support families and students on their educational journey!

Experience

I have over 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and client support, working with businesses in the medical, legal, and service industries. I’m QuickBooks Online certified and have worked with firms to streamline payroll, reconciliations, and monthly reports.

Alongside my financial work, I’ve spent several years volunteering and tutoring elementary and middle school students in math and reading at my church. I focus on building core skills, boosting confidence, and helping kids.
