Fun Facts

One activity that has taken up most of my time outside of academics is training in martial arts. I have been passionately practising and competing for around 13 years. I have also spent years teaching these classes to both kids and adults.

About Me

I am a second-year Engineering student at Northeastern University in Boston, and I spent a semester abroad studying in London as well. I also worked as an intern project engineer for Cahill Contractors in San Francisco. In the future, I hope to gain more work experience and attend graduate school for engineering.

Experience

I worked as a peer tutor from my sophomore to senior year in high school, helping kids with STEM-related subjects every week. I have spent years teaching martial arts and administrating a demonstration team within this community, making me no stranger to instructing from many approaches.

Approach

From years of experience, I have learned that the best way to guide someone through learning is by first listening. Everybody uniquely digests information, and different teaching approaches work with differing levels of efficacy. To be the most effective teacher, I like to begin by observing a student's tendencies and finding patterns in their questions, and build an approach starting from there.
