Fun Facts
I was a competitive Ballroom dancer and musical theatre student for 6 years. In my time outside of school, I love to learn more about coffee and practice cartography. I am also an avid motorcycle rider.
About Me
I received an AAS degree from Bellevue College in June 2023 and am an ongoing undergraduate at Western Washington University. Due to inspiration from my parents and teachers, I grew up an avid reader and writer with a passion for the environment. My skills have continued to develop through my literature and creative writing studies at the college level. I love working with literature, fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and all other forms of humanities content.
Experience
As a double-major student in English and Environmental Studies at Western Washington University, I have received numerous merit awards and departmental recognitions. My work has been published in The Planet Magazine and was included in the annual print anthology.
In high school, I was a student director for multiple choral ensembles. I am working towards becoming a high school teacher, and I'm excited to help students get the most out of their coursework in language arts.
Approach
I believe in lifelong learning and education, and I hope to adjust my teaching style to each individual's needs and personality. In middle and high school, I was plagued by a fear of asking for help. My goal is to make each student feel safe and heard so that they can have the most fulfilling educational experience possible.
