Fun Facts

Like Obama, I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I went back after college and lived on Maui for two years. I have also taught art, as in faux finish designs, to adults who never picked up a paint brush, to artists, as well as homebuilding contractors..

About Me

I achieved a 3.7 average in English Literature and was accepted to Barnard College. I went to Syracuse University instead. I was a dual major in magazine editing in the Newhouse School of Journalism and American Studies in the Maxwell School of Citizenship.

Experience

I worked for three years at Beth Yeshurun Day School, where I taught pre-k through 5th grade, tutored after school, kindergarten through fifth grade, and was a Lead Summer Camp Counselor.

Approach

I loved learning growing up. To me, having a good Science teacher is everything to being good in Science. Fortunately, I had an excellent female instructor in Algebra and Calculus, and also in Anatomy and Physiology. That made all the difference.
