Approach
Growing up, I was often intimidated to ask for help from teachers or parents, believing that I didn't need it, and thinking I could do everything on my own. Looking back now, I have the mindset that asking for help is something that should never be looked down upon, even if you're someone who's well-versed on a topic. I want to be someone that people can look to for academic guidance.
I enjoy helping people out in whatever means necessary, and I see this as a way to do so.

EnrolledAccounting Tutoring
In my senior year of high school, I was lucky enough to be enrolled in a new course titled "Consumer and Financial Math." Often, criticizers of the current school system aren't satisfied with the current course work of students, due to not teaching content that they believe would be applicable in the real world. In this course, I received an A, and enjoyed my time due to teaching students about finances. I wish to help students out with subjects related to accounting, and feel as if I have the experience necessary to do so.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
High School Pre-Algebra is a vital step in fully comprehending later math courses down the line. It is seen as a bridge by some between the simpler concepts found in middle school, and the more complicated units present in senior and junior level classes. I wish to help students struggling with making this transition.
Biology Tutoring
In my senior year of high school, I was enrolled in an advanced biology course, and received an A grade. My teacher in this class wanted students to engage with the content through use of contemporary humor. Although I might not be able to fully emulate her style of teaching through my teaching method, I wish to make students comfortable in feeling like they are able to properly comprehend work given to them.

English Tutoring
I received A grades in all my high-school leveled English classes. During high school, I had a wide array of English course-related teachers, most of which made it their goal to make the student feel comfortable, being open with student's struggles in their coursework. As a tutor, I want to emulate that same approach, where students are able to feel adequate in their work.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension is a vital part of learning in Language Arts. Due to the rise of AI, I have seen many examples of people who are unable to properly decipher a piece of text without running it through a system first. I hope to help out students who are seeking to fully understand passages of literature, without the help of a computer instead needing to do it for them.
Spanish I Tutoring
At this point in a student's attempt to learn Spanish, they are likely forming full-on conversations and learning more niche vocabulary. Growing up, I spoke and understood both English and Spanish, and want to share my experiences with others. Religion Tutoring
Although I personally don't identify as religious at the moment, due to growing up in a Christian household, I feel as if I have the experience necessary to help out any students with religion studies. Many topics taught during that time in my life are still fresh in my mind, and I am comfortable helping out younger students with teaching them.

Algebra Tutoring
As strange as this may sound, I often found certain math courses growing up fun, with middle school algebra being one of them. I found it very satisfying to get the correct answer in an algebra problem, especially after a long attempt to solve it. Oftentimes, students find this part of math intimidating, due to the introduction of letters, in a subject that is known for numbers. I hope to ease any students' nervousness regarding the topic, and instead teach them how to correctly get a problem solved.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Homework is a vital part of being a growing student, and learning how to accomplish work in a scheduled manner. The majority of teenagers are likely busy with other obligations, relating to family, friends, hobbies or sports, which can make it difficult to find time to finish homework. Throughout middle school, I found it easy to finish assigned homework, and would like to share my studying skills and strategies with others.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I was enrolled in advanced math classes throughout my time in middle school, receiving A's in every semester. It was a subject that came easy to me, and I wish to help others solving middle school level equations. During these courses, I recall having teachers that attempted to make class time fun by inserting jokes into lectures, integrating student input in lessons. This is something that I also hope to integrate in my teaching.
Conversational Spanish Tutoring
Due to my Mexican heritage on both sides of my family, Spanish is my first language. Study Skills Tutoring
Regular studying for high school poses as a much bigger challenge compared to studying in middle school. It was certainly a challenge for me during that time, and I hope to work with others to reduce any stress or anxiety regarding studying.

Throughout each semester, I recall receiving an A grade, with the material coming easy to me
Reading Tutoring
Throughout every semester of Language Arts courses in middle school, I received an A grade. Writing has always been a specialty of mine, with this period in my grade school career being the beginning of that. My teachers during this time were very helpful, and constructive on their criticism, which is something I hope to also accomplish.
Spanish Tutoring
Usually Spanish in middle school teaches basic conversational skills, and necessary words such as hello, thank you, goodbye, etc. Being a native Spanish speaker, I believe it would be simple to teach others learning the language.
