About Me

I am a high-achieving and educated senior at Florida State University. I substitute teach when I can, and I find working with students to be very fulfilling. I have one wonderful cat named Mallory, and she goes with me everywhere.

Experience

I have had many years of tutoring experience. I have been a private tutor for 4 years when I was in high school and college, and I also worked professionally as a tutor for a program run through my University. Now, I am also a substitute teacher who places emphasis on learning and helping students understand the coursework.

Approach

Nowadays, it's very easy for students to become distracted while trying to learn, and that's no different when they're being tutored. I find it important to have the student back channelling and really synthesizing what I am saying, and then I like to see their understanding of the material as we discuss topics. The tutoring should be more of a dialogue in a lot of ways.
