About Me
I am a freshman at the maryland">University of Maryland studying computer engineering. I am extremely interested in computer programming, circuits, and Arduino projects. When I graduate, I hope to attend graduate school, pursuing a degree in systems engineering.
During high school, I developed strong public speaking and communication skills mainly through Model UN, programming tutoring, and giving lectures in the history society. I am passionate about tutoring and will use my skillset to its fullest.
Experience
In high school, I was a teacher in Kids for Code, a free online tutoring program that taught elementary and middle school students basic coding in C++, Java, and Python. I was a presentation officer in the history society, in which I had to make presentations/lectures on different history subjects and present them to a class. I was also the Vice President of the Technology Students' Association, where I had lessons on computer-related topics and held mock competitions.
Approach
I emphasize a deep understanding of the problem (content, previously required knowledge, and related topics) instead of just trying to brute-force a solution. This would create a better problem-solving skillset for the student in the future. I also believe in a lot of practice problems, as this reinforces understanding and allows the student to perfect their ability.
