I am passionate about learning about finance and investing, and enjoying the outdoors. I am frequently reading about finance, but also novels. I live next to a library and regularly visit to get new books. I enjoy hiking, skiing, and camping, usually near me in Maryland. I have always lived in Maryland, attended the maryland">University of Maryland, College Park, but have relocated from DC to Baltimore, which I find has a more approachable culture and people.

About Me

I am the mother of a 6th grader who keeps my skills sharp while helping with homework. I hike in my spare time and would like additional tutoring opportunities, especially over the summer. I hold degrees in Psychology and Public Health, but I enjoy tutoring elementary and middle school math.

Experience

I'm an experienced government contractor, recruiter, and math tutor. I have professionally tutored 7th-grade boys in math this semester in Baltimore City and found it rewarding. I'm looking for more opportunities to give back and help children learn.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with speech and math difficulties. I was fortunate enough to have teachers and family who helped me learn and grow. Now I want to help other students succeed. As a tutor, I can empathize with students who struggle to learn a concept. I work hard to put ideas in terms and ways they can understand and appreciate.
