I am an active language learner! I am currently studying Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and French, and love to engage with different cultures. I am also a painter and enjoy drawing nature scenes in watercolour.

About Me

I graduated with a Bachelor's in International Relations and Spanish, but took courses across a variety of disciplines, including the sciences and math. Some of my favorite courses were on environmental science, chemistry, Spanish dialectics, and European political economies. Next, I will complete my Master's in Interpretation and Translation and pursue law school.

Experience

I worked as a Spanish and Math tutor in the past, primarily with high school and college students. Part of the prerequisites for being a tutor were maintaining high grades and training, which I had. In addition, as the eldest of 3 younger siblings, I have also helped them overcome academic obstacles, especially in Language Arts and math.

Approach

As a sophomore in high school, I struggled with geometry and sought help from a tutor. They were patient and understanding, but pushed me to confront my challenges. I want to encourage students to develop the skills needed to overcome academic challenges and recognize that they are more than capable. It is important to help students see the potential in them and know that they can do it.
