Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring

I took an A&P class last semester and acquired an A and still have all of my notes. I also have studying techniques that helped me achieve an A to pass on. In my own studies, I have books that provide information on the importance of understanding the bodies functions and maintaining them.

Anthropology Tutoring

My major is in anthropology and outside of my college classes, I pursue academic papers and read books to further my knowledge. All of my anthropology classes I have received an A . As vast as anthropology can be, I feel that I could heighten my skills to meet any skill level.

Communication Tutoring

I took a communications class and still have my textbook. I have learned about unspoken social cues in my anthropology classes. I received in A in my communications class.

English Tutoring

I have been advanced in English from elementary school throughout my adulthood and have 3 honors classes on my high school transcript. I do my best to read everyday and maintain proper grammar and sentence structure through text and type. Writing is one of my personal hobbies and I am interested in strengthening my skills.

French I Tutoring

I took French all 4 years of high school and received a seal of biliteracy my senior year. I have multiple French textbooks and language guides meant for travel. I am interested in brushing up my skills and would feel most comfortable teaching at the French 1 and 2 level.

History Tutoring

I most recently completed my history up to 1500 class with an A. I still have the textbook from the class as well as other civilization specific history books in my home. History goes hand in hand with anthropology. I think I could learn about any historical event enough to tutor it.

Math Tutoring

I have taken 1 math class in college so far: College Algebra. Although my grade was a C, it was purely circumstantial to the teacher I had who didn't accommodate to my familial circumstances which lead to my grade falling. I study math on my own, owning 4 textbooks and I've been attempting to work through and am currently learning precalc.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I have taken 2 honors classes that focused heavily on reading comprehension in high school that I received a B+ and A in. I find importance in having strong media literacy skills and deep comprehension of material. I read daily and do my best to annotate and analyze the material.

Study Skills Tutoring

Throughout my college experience, I have tried out many studying techniques involving flashcards, Khan Academy, textbook usage, etc. I have an organized approach to studying and I feel I can persuade against procrastination in others. The classes I did the best in I always studied for.

Algebra Tutoring

I've taken one algebra class in college and I feel I know the basics of Algebra. If needed to improve my skills, I have two textbooks that teach Algebra in an understandable way. I pursue learning math in my free time.

Algebra II Tutoring

Having taken College Algebra, I feel I have proficient skill in recognizing all types of problems in Algebra. I'm open to sharpening my skills to become more proficient. I know what mistakes I made in this class and I think I'd be able to recognize the same ones made by other people.

Geography Tutoring

While I haven't taken a geography specific class, I have gone out of my way to learn general geography of the world. Geography goes hand in hand with anthropology in my opinion and I have made a point to understand it in the areas necessary. I'm willing to learn more geography for this position.

Pre Algebra Tutoring

As mentioned, I feel that after taking College Algebra, I have a strong grasp of algebra from levels pre to 2. I feel the basics of Algebra are easy for me to recognize and solve. I practice algebra concepts on my own time.

Writing Tutoring

I haven't taken any classes relevant to this, but I do practice writing as a way to relieve stress and to tap into my creativity. I feel proficient in tools helpful to writing such as figurative language, following the ups and downs of a plot and using a theme when writing.

7th Grade Math Tutoring

I got an A in 7th grade math and since it's mostly prep for high school, I feel confident in my abilities. I practice math on my own time. I am willing to brush up my skills in math if needed.

Earth Science Tutoring

I feel that earth science is important to my major as an anthropologist because there are times out in the field that knowledge of the terrain and geology are needed. I'm willing to strengthen my skills if needed. I feel confident that I'd be able to understand any problem or project given in this subject.

French Tutoring

I took French all 4 years of high school, received a seal of biliteracy and have textbooks/notebooks that can provide refreshment of my knowledge. Having taken higher level French, I think middle school French would be understandable enough to tutor. I'm interested in strengthening where needed.

Math Advance Tutoring

I feel as though I have a proficiency in high school level math and that being translated into advanced middle school math seems doable to me. I would be able to provide techniques of handling the heavier workload through studying and encouragement. I am interested in expanding my skills if needed.

Middle School Math Tutoring

Both of the math classes I took in middle school I received an A in and practiced diligently on Khan Academy. I feel proficient in my advancing math skills and that I could tackle any problem in this area. If needed, I could expand on my skills.

Music Theory Tutoring

I took band in school for 6 years and feel confident in my abilities to tutor treble clef students as well as explain the notation of both treble and bass. I received in A in all of my music classes and took two advanced and audition based classes. I'm interested in learning how to teach at this level if needed.

Reading Tutoring

I took an honors English class in the 8th grade as well as two in high school. I am passionate about the importance of reading and want to pass that on to impressionable students. I read daily and focus on understanding and analyzing the material deeply.

Science Tutoring

I took an honors science class in high school and received a B+. I believe science to be important for all to be educated on as it brings an understanding to the world around us. I would strengthen my skills further if needed.

Elementary Math Tutoring

This was my hardest subject when I was young and I'd take a friendly, affirming and accepting approach to those who struggle too. I tutored early math when I was a junior and senior in high school. I am interested in positively influencing the new generation to enjoy math.

Homework Coach Tutoring

I think it's important for children to learn studying habits early so they can succeed later in life. I would have an organized approach and would encourage and affirm my clients. I feel confident in teaching this since I enjoy practicing different studying methods.

Social Studies Tutoring

Social studies is an important aspect of anthropology, my major. I think showing children the importance of them is important and am willing to do so. I'm interested in learning how to improve my teaching skills in social studies.

French Horn Tutoring

French horn is extremely similar to trumpet in reading music and fingerings. I played trumpet in middle school, all 4 years of high school and one year after totaling 7 years. I occasionally play now socially. I took private lessons 3/4 years of high school and had played at private events outside of school.

General Music Tutoring

I know how to read treble clef and sight read. I have schooling for 6 years in music. I am interested in learning jazz to round out my general music theory.

Basic Computer Skills Tutoring

I've taken minimal computer classes in school, but I'm open to learning more to teach more. I know the basics of computer usage from what browser to use, how to make an email, how to navigate common issues and how to clean a computer. I also think I'd be able to relate to an adult audience in this area.
