Fun Facts

I grew up in Spain for 7 years of my childhood, so I have a lot of experience travelling throughout Europe. Because of the food culture that I grew up with, I also love to cook and bake! I even ended up in a few competitions when I was in my teens.

About Me

I have recently graduated from the portland">University of Portland with 3 majors - Chemistry, Mathematics, and Spanish. I have experience working as a lab TA for chemistry for 3 years, as well as a researcher.

Experience

I have been a teaching assistant during my time at my university for as long as I have been able to (I began as a TA for the classes the semester after I completed them myself). In high school, I also took classes as a peer tutor, mostly focusing on mathematics.

Approach

I firmly believe that mathematics is a useful tool for teaching any other subject to be taught. Having a firm grasp of mathematical concepts and reasoning can be applied to many other areas of learning. I also believe that mathematics is a subject that is, for many, considered scary, but I believe it can be made to be fun (or, at the very least, not intimidating).
