Fun Facts
I am the youngest of five children and am a first-generation college and law school graduate. In my free time, I enjoy anything sports-related. I volunteer on my daughter's city softball league where I work with young players, providing emotional support and teaching fundamentals of softball, sportsmanship and teamwork.
About Me
I am currently a licensed attorney in Arizona, practicing in civil litigation. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students, clients, and new employees about the law. In addition, I enjoy mentoring young people and helping them achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
Experience
As a member of the Academic Success Program at Syracuse University College of Law, I had the opportunity to mentor first-year law students in the areas of Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law. The experience included small group sessions, one-on-one sessions, and reviewing/editing answers to mock exam questions. I have also trained many new employees in a law office and routinely have to explain complicated legal issues to clients with no legal experience.
Approach
Throughout life, I have struggled with self-confidence and anxiety, particularly in high-pressure situations. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity throughout my career to learn from many attorneys, professors and other professionals. As a result, I have developed tools to manage anxiety and have gained more self-confidence. I believe that positive feedback, learning through actively participating, and repetition are key to succeeding in any field.

I was a political science major during undergraduate school and have earned a JD, graduating summa cum laude. Political science requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. My experience as a practicing attorney has provided me with those critical skills.
Bar Exam Tutoring
I am highly qualified to help students prepare for bar exams. I am experienced in the IRAC writing method and have helped first-year law students in many of the subjects that are tested on bar exams. I took the Arizona UBE in February 2024, and earned the highest score in the state for that examination.
Criminal Justice Tutoring
I was a political science major during undergraduate school and have earned a JD, graduating summa cum laude. Both programs overlap significantly with subjects taught in criminal justice. I excelled academically in all courses related to the law and criminal justice.
English Tutoring
Studying English requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. My academic experience, as well as experience as a practicing attorney has provided me with those critical skills.
Spanish I Tutoring
In high school, I took Spanish classes all the way through AP Spanish. In college, I tested out of the required language classes by taking the CLEP Spanish exam. Although I am not fluent, I know a significant amount of Spanish and can read and speak basic Spanish. As Spanish is not my first language, I possess the skills to help others begin learning the language.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have learned effective study skills throughout my educational career. I took the Arizona bar exam to become a licensed attorney. That exam required organization and a mastery of study skills to be successful. I earned the highest score in the state for the examination period.

I have over two decades of experience with reading and writing. My experience ranges from standardized writing tests such as the SAT, to complicated legal briefs. I have consistently received grades in writing courses that are in the top 10% of all students.
