I love music and recently started learning how to DJ! Any music that evokes feelings interest me. Whether it’s building the perfect playlist or finding the right beat, I love how music brings people together just like a good book can!

About Me

Hi! I’m currently a senior in college, majoring in psychology with a strong interest in child development and education. Many of my courses have focused on learning, behavior, and developmental psychology, which have deepened my understanding of how kids grow academically and emotionally. I’m passionate about helping young students build confidence, especially in reading, and I love finding creative, encouraging ways to support their growth. I plan to pursue my master’s degree in therapy after graduation, to work closely with children and families. Ever since I was 8, reading and writing have been a big part of my life, and I’m excited to help children build the same love for reading that’s meant so much to me.

Experience

As a college senior majoring in psychology, I have a strong understanding of child development and learning processes, which makes me well-equipped to support young readers. While I don't have formal tutoring experience, I’ve spent several years helping my younger siblings with their homework, especially in reading and writing. Through that hands-on experience, I’ve developed patience, communication skills, and creative strategies for keeping kids engaged.

Approach

I also know firsthand how impactful the right support can be when I struggled with a subject in school, having a teacher who made me feel capable and encouraged gave me the confidence to improve. That experience drives my approach as a tutor: I aim to create a positive, empowering environment where students feel supported and proud of their progress.
