Fun Facts
I love to farm! I have spent a lot of time working on organic farms and learning how to cultivate and grow food from the land. I am also a yoga teacher.
About Me
I am a software engineer with a bachelor's in science/virginia/washington-dc">computer science from Georgia Tech and 6 years of experience in the industry. I am currently taking some time off to explore and work on personal projects and gear up for graduate school. In the meantime, I am hoping to share what I know with enthusiastic young minds.
Experience
I have been a tutor all through high school and college. In high school, I tutored for every honors society - math, English, Spanish, and history. I also took a period off from classes in high school to serve as the host tutor for my science/virginia/washington-dc">computer science teacher, helping students with assignments during class. In college, I tutored for the College of Computing as well as a few other subjects like math, physics, and earth sciences.
Approach
I have a natural curiosity for the way people think, which I've found to be very helpful in teaching. Rather than lead through explanations or storytelling, I like to lead by asking questions and understanding what a student knows and to discover where the gaps in their current understanding may lie. With a strong and shared foundation, I have found it to be much easier to help a student integrate new knowledge into their understanding.
