Fun Facts

One fun fact about me, I speak 5 languages fluently, and I have visited over 35 countries. I love watching soccer, basketball and American football. I also like going to the gym

About Me

I lived in France the majority of my teenage years, I graduated valedictorian of my class and earned an academic scholarship to Beloit College, where I was able to double major in Modern languages and Political science with a focus on foreign policies and international relations. I also minored in Spanish. I have enrolled to pursue my Master's in African literature next fall. I am currently a Government Linguist contracted by the Department of Security.

Experience

I was a French Teaching Assistant for 4 years at Beloit College, where I helped colleagues with their homework and assignments. I was also responsible for grading French and Midterm exams. I was also a private tutor to 3 high school students. I started with 1 and was recommended to 2 more by the parent of the first student. 2 students graduated in May, headed to college, and the 3rd student is going to be a senior next year.

Approach

My approach is to be patient and use analogies and examples that the students can correlate to not only understand but also retain the lessons. As a child in elementary school, I used to have a hard time understanding as fast as the rest of the class, so I would often skip recess just to go through the exercise to try to understand. Later on, my parents got me a tutor, and I started excelling.
