About Me

I am a Junior at UCLA, majoring in Microbiology. My goal is to attend a medical school after I graduate. Outside classes, I love to play golf and experience nature!

Experience

I had the opportunity to mentor high school students in Los Angeles through weekly sessions over ten weeks, resulting in a presentation on a genetic disorder that they delivered to UCLA college students.

Back in high school, I served as a peer mentor, helping incoming freshmen adjust to their new environment. I supported them both socially and academically, occasionally offering tutoring in math and science to help them build confidence in core subjects.

Approach

It can be challenging to step up and ask questions during class sometimes! I hope to become a tutor who is always reliable and welcoming towards my students. I encourage my students to ask questions freely, without hesitation.

More specifically, I will first introduce a method to solve a given problem, then go through the problem myself while using the method. From there, I will lead my students to solve a different problem while encouraging them to use the method that was explained to them.
