About Me
I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and a Minor in Dance, where I actively supported student learning as a Math 101 Learning Assistant and Class Encore Leader. These roles deepened my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and foster collaborative environments. I also worked as a Learning Assistant in the university’s anatomy lab, further strengthening my understanding of the human body and my aptitude for detail-oriented, lab-based work. With this background, I’m excited to take the next step by entering an accelerated bachelor’s program in nursing, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I'm passionate about delivering empathetic care, combining scientific knowledge with human connection to make a lasting impact in healthcare.
Experience
In high school, I began building my skills as a math tutor by assisting my peers during Algebra II classes. I helped explain challenging concepts, offered one-on-one guidance during lessons, and supported both peers and teachers in creating a more interactive learning environment. In college, my tutoring became more hands-on and creative through my role as a Math 101 Class Encore Assistant at the University of Oregon. I actively participated in lectures and led structured study groups.
Approach
I will cater to students! Growing up my brother and I had very different learning styles that were not always catered to by our school. As a tutor, I want to help students become confident in their academic skills and themselves. Whether that means hands on, visual, or logical learning, I hope to help students feel better about their academics.
