About Me
Greetings! I am a former classroom teacher now Interventionist who has a big heart for helping students grow. I speak both English and Spanish, and I love using that to support bilingual learners. I enjoy making learning fun by connecting it to real life - especially through games, stores and hands-on activities. I graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas in 2017 and have been in education ever since.
Experience
I have been in the field of education for the past 7 years. During this time, I've had the opportunity to teach 5th grade, 4th grade, 3rd grade and the majority of my time was spent in 1st grade. I enjoy teaching students how to read and write as it it the foundation they need to help them become successful. I have taught all subjects as I was a self-contained teacher during all these years.
Approach
My approach to tutoring is centered around patience, encouragement, and building strong relationships with students. I believe that every child learns differently, so I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether we're working on phonics, reading comprehension, or problem solving, I use a variety of hands-on strategies visuals, and games to make learning both effective and fun.
