About Me

I am moving from MA to AZ, excited to spend more time outside and looking for a career change. I love working with kids and am excited to share my love of math and science with the younger generation. I attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 2020 with both my BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering (3.7 GPA). Since college I have worked as a product development engineer. I hope to use this tutoring job to keep my skills sharp and give back while transitioning my career.

Experience

I have 11 years of experience teaching and working with kids as both a ski and snowboard instructor and a swim instructor. Although I don’t have specific tutoring experience yet, I went to a specialized math and science high school that was very big on collaboration, so when there was a subject we struggled with, we all stepped in to help each other! I love to share my knowledge of math and science and help out where ever I can.

Approach

I am a very hands-on learner and love learning through projects. For high school, I attended Mass Academy of Math and Science in Worcester, MA, which had a very project-based learning approach and allowed me to really thrive. I then went on to college at WPI, where their curriculum is very project-based based which I felt really made my education fun. I want to help bring this type of learning to the younger generation and help make learning math and science fun!
