About Me

I am a senior at connecticut-state-university">Southern Connecticut State University, and I am currently wrapping up my studies in Healthcare & Psychology! I was invited to become an English major and tutor for the university in 2022 as a sophomore. I also made the Dean’s List from 2023-2025. I love anything Science, English, Health, and Psychology related.

Experience

I worked at a nonprofit organization called LEAP from the age of 13-20. Within these 7 years, I mentored and implemented curriculum for kids aged 7-15, and I also mentored high school students who were interested in becoming counselor. The curriculum was science, math, and English related, as well as social developmental activities.

Approach

Within my 7 years of being a mentor, I’ve learned that all students, regardless of age, learn at a different pace, and some students may need extra 1-on-1 support. It is important to make sure that each student is being taught in a way that they can understand so that they can actually learn and enjoy learning.
