Fun Facts
Colouring may seem simple, but it’s helped me stay grounded through college, work, and everything in between. I bring that same calm, steady energy to tutoring sessions, especially for kids who need a little extra patience and encouragement!
About Me
I’m a senior Social Work student at Morgan State University with a deep passion for advocacy, humanitarian work, and helping individuals reach their fullest potential. While this is a tutoring position, I truly value the opportunity for growth both in supporting my students and learning from them. I bring openness, honesty, care, and patience to every interaction, and I’m committed to creating a positive, encouraging space where students can thrive.
Experience
I have prior experience working as a Student Support Tutor with the washington-university">George Washington University Upward Bound program. In this role, I provided homework assistance to elementary, middle, and high school students across various subjects. My primary focus was math, including basic math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus.
Approach
When I tutor, I focus on making learning feel comfortable and personal. I believe that every student has their own pace and style, so I take time to listen, observe, and adjust to what works best for them. My sessions are patient, calm, and interactive, and I want students to feel like they can ask questions freely and not be afraid to make mistakes. I also love incorporating creative strategies to keep things fun and engaging, especially for younger learners.
