Fun Facts

I know how to sing in six languages! I'm studying Classical voice in college, which means I sing opera songs. I've also taken an Italian language class in Venice, Italy, and I loved it! One of my favorite things to do in my free time is play video games - I love immersing myself in another world! I can also fold origami cranes, and I'm more than willing to share that knowledge, too.

About Me

I am a student at Towson University studying Voice and Music, and I previously graduated with an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts from CCBC Essex. I've been on the Dean's List twice, going on three times! I've always been passionate about reading and writing, and I love sharing my knowledge with others. I also enjoy helping students understand early-level math and encouraging the development of reading comprehension. I work especially well with LGBTQ+ students as well as students with ADD/ADHD.

Experience

Before my senior year of high school, I worked at a summer camp helping children learn about fine and performing arts. I also assisted with coordination and organization in a group environment, as well as teaching lines and concept to younger students. I am also trained and certified in babysitting and childcare. Frog Tutoring gives me an exciting new opportunity to share my knowledge and help students along their academic journey!

Approach

As someone who grew up with ADHD, I understand many of the struggles faced by children who have it firsthand. I do my best to lead with patience and warmth, and when things get tricky, I try to think of what I would have liked to be done for me as a child by my teachers and tutors. This includes repetition (as much as is needed), a personalized pace, and lots of room for mistakes and learning from them. Allowing students room to try and try again is essential to my philosophy.
