About Me

I’m a 10-year veteran teacher who’s currently teaching at ILTEXAS NRH. The love for teaching is natural and a true passion. Starting my teaching career in Louisiana gave me the means to be great here in Texas. Since moving my talents, I was awarded Teacher of the Year K-2 in 22-23, Teacher of the Year 3-5 23-24, Mentor Teacher of the Year 23-24, and I’ve currently accepted the task of becoming the new 4th Grade GLA (Grade Level Administrator). I truly love what I do and the growth I’ve seen in each student I’ve taught.

Approach

As a child, I was surrounded by Educators and was really good in school, but didn’t want to teach. After long-term subbing, I found teaching to be a passion and something to very effective in. The bonds you built with fellow educators and the growth I saw in my students, as well as myself, were remarkable. My approach came naturally as I always took the time to understand each student and their individual learning process.
