Fun Facts
Writing is my life’s passion! I publish personal essays and auto-fiction in independent literary magazines, and I’m endlessly inspired by storytelling in all forms. I also love thrifting and exploring the connections between fashion, memory, and self-expression.
About Me
I’m a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Public Relations and Marketing. In addition to tutoring, I work as a freelance writer across blog, UX, and email formats — and I love helping young writers find clarity and confidence in their voice. My background also includes experience in retail, customer service, and education, giving me a unique perspective on patience, communication, and how to meet students where they are.
Experience
I've worked with students from kindergarten through high school as a reading and writing tutor, supporting everything from phonics to high school essay composition. In my earlier years, I provided after-school homework help through the Boys & Girls Club and private families, and I continue to support learners in one-on-one settings with empathy, structure, and encouragement.
Approach
I believe learning is most effective when students feel safe, seen, and supported. My approach is to meet each student where they are — with empathy, patience, and genuine interest in how they think. I help break down assignments into manageable steps and aim to build skills that last far beyond the classroom. Whether it’s developing a strong thesis or learning to read more fluently, I prioritize confidence just as much as comprehension.
