Fun Facts

I love the outdoors! I enjoy hiking, going to the lake, and camping with my friends. This year I experienced camping in the rain and snow for the first time, which was exciting! My family and I love to go on road trips, and love watching comedy movies. Recently we went to Indio, CA and had a great time!

About Me

I attended Fresno State after completing courses at Clovis Community College, and while studying there I worked as a research assistant in the biology department. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Fresno State in 2018, and since graduating I've worked as a medical scribe and as a caregiver for my two year old niece.

Experience

While attending college, I worked as a math and science tutor at Clovis Community College for almost 5 years. I tutored students in biology, chemistry, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and all levels of calculus. I love tutoring, and am excited for the positive impact I can have on the lives of students who need help!

Approach

I loved math growing up, but it didn't always come easily. I spent many hours collaborating with teachers, classmates, and co-workers to solve difficult problems. I've learned that sometimes you need some encouragement, a fresh perspective, or a different approach to get a problem solved. I believe in a collaborative effort when it comes to tutoring as well! I believe in being encouraging, persistent, and to ensure I'm supporting the student in the best ways possible!
