Fun Facts
I would call myself a professional learning. I love learning! I've visited 10 countries. I taught English in South Korea for 4 years.
About Me
I am a graduate student at UNT Dallas, and in May 2026, I will graduate with my degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counselling and School Counselling.
Experience
As a student at Baylor University, I spent my free time tutoring at the local schools during their AVID periods and in after-school programs. Once I graduated, I moved back home and worked as an AVID tutor and a substitute. Then I moved to South Korea and taught English for 4 years. Later, I moved back the Texas and taught at a local charter school, then moved on to working with children who have autism.
Approach
I believe that people learn best through positive encouragement. When a student does not understand a concept, it is up to the teacher to pull out their Plan B and introduce a new approach. I believe we should meet students where they are. Everyone does not learn the same way, and education should be delivered in that way.
