Fun Facts
I grew up with a big family; I am the third of seven children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going out to play pickleball. I love going out on walks by the river and doing BBQs.
About Me
I was valedictorian at my high school and was a part of the National Junior Honor Society, and got an advanced regents diploma. I also had the opportunity to attend college-link classes where I earned college credits and was able to transfer them to college. I am the first girl in my family that go to college. I went to college locally in Bronxville, New York, where I graduated as a radiologic technologist. The past four years, I have been working in a medical orthopaedic office where I get to interact and help people.

Growing up with a big family, I always helped my siblings with their homework and helped them study for upcoming exams. Since my parents didn’t know English, I was responsible for lots of things like filling out school forms, making appointments, and helping my siblings with their school work. Approach
When I began going to school, I was upset and embarrassed that I couldn’t understand English and wasn’t able to talk to my teachers and classmates. All I could do was smile; there was a language barrier. I entered school only knowing the Arabic language that I learned from my parents. It was difficult for me to learn a new language, especially since I didn’t have anyone at home to help me do my homework.
