Fun Facts

When not teaching, I am a single mom to two wonderful children. When not busy with my kiddos, you can find me practising yoga or in the kitchen. I love to bake and cook! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my children and their friends enjoying something I have made.

About Me

I am entering my eighth year as a education/new-york/new-york">Special Education Teacher with the Department of Education in NYC. This year, I will be looping with my students. I am so excited to be able to work with them for two years and witness their growth!!

Experience

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I serve on the Instructional Leadership Team as well as the Curriculum Team at my school. I love being a part of analysing data to drive instruction, as well as brainstorming with my colleagues regarding our units of study.

Approach

I have a child-centred approach. I believe in building a relationship first in order for the child/children to feel comfortable. Once that is established, true learning can occur!
