My previous job was working at a daycare! I love horses and the colour blue. I'm very creative, and if there's an art form out there, I've tried it at least once, from knitting and sewing to dance to pottery to woodworking to poetry to novel-writing to singing!

About Me

I am a recent college graduate taking a gap year between my associate's and bachelor's. I am queer and neurodivergent, and happy to meet students where they're at in both regards. My ultimate goal is to study Chinese Language and Literature and work as a translator.

Experience

As the oldest sibling of a busy family, I grew up tutoring my younger siblings, helping them through homework and studying for tests. More recently, I worked at a daycare and was the go-to person for homework help. I'm delighted to be working here!

Approach

I like to have the person I'm working with lead me through the question, and then gently prompt them toward the correct answer---after all, the best way to learn something is to teach it! I've found this to be especially successful with younger children, who are excited to teach an adult something new. When a student is overwhelmed or frustrated, I'll happily take the lead, but I prefer to go at the pace a student sets.
