About Me
I graduated from lagrange-university">Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Justice. I pursued a career in Law Enforcement/ Corrections, starting with the MO Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer (CO) in 2000. During my career, I worked as a CO, Police Officer, Corrections Case Manager, and P&P Officer. I retired in 2019 as a Functional Unit Manager (supervisor) from MODOC.
I currently teach disabled individuals life skills to increase their independence.
Experience
During my 20-year career in law enforcement/ corrections, I trained/ taught co-workers, inmates and probation and parole clients. I'm currently teaching disabled individuals life skills to increase their independence. Working as a tutor gives me the opportunity to help others succeed and continue to give back to the community.
Approach
I take the time to ensure you understand what you're learning. I believe it's a team effort, and we'll figure it out and succeed together. If you don't succeed, neither do I. If you don't understand something, please ask questions. I believe there are no stupid questions. You can't learn if you don't ask.

I enjoy reading and am currently teaching individuals I work with how to read.

I enjoyed History in school and continue to study history. I also enjoy debating historical events with people.
