Fun Facts

I am an avid lover of the outdoors and regularly plunge into the cold ocean of Northern California! Ballet has been one of my passions since I was 8 years old. I still take classes and work on my repertoire regularly. I have also been dancing social Argentine tango for 11 years!

About Me

As a graduate from UC Berkeley, I use my degree in Integrative Biology in my everyday life, pursuing a career as an ecologist and farmer. I regularly practice sustainability and study plant genetics to ensure food security and combat climate change.

Experience

Over the past 4 years, I have regularly tutored K-12 students online and in person in anything from reading, writing, to math, and of course, biology! I also have experience working with a wide diversity of students of different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, Spanish-speaking ELL students, as well as students with learning challenges like dyslexia and ADHD. Each of them has given me fortification of my teaching capabilities, and I am so excited to continue to give back!

Approach

My goal as a tutor is to be the educator that I needed as a child. I often felt misunderstood and ashamed, afraid to ask questions. My job is to give students the patience and resources to meet them where they are and guide them to success. It is imperative that students feel safe to be naturally curious and willing to embrace challenges to grow not just as students, but as human beings!
