Fun Facts
I really enjoy art and history in my free time, which I realise now does not sound fun at all. I used to do a lot of surfing and diving, but now I have moved farther inland, where it isn't really an option without getting a technical diving certification.
About Me
Originally, I was hoping to get into the military, but unfortunately, a skateboarding injury prevented that. I remember the disconnect of studying for the ASVAB (scored a 92 at MEPS) while everyone was panicking over the SAT. I graduated from Charles R. Drew University with my Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science in 2021. Before that, I was an EMT-B and a volunteer instructor at Orange Coast College for the EMT program. I'm currently applying for my dual MBA/MHA.
Experience
I was the Vice President of my class at Charles R. Drew and was in the Lambda Nu Honour Society, where I also served as treasurer. I have worked in probably every acuity level of hospital, my favourites being the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Arrowhead Regional in Riverside. I helmed several radiology physics study groups while at Drew and I enjoy helping people learn.
Approach
I like to take an adaptive approach to studying. I know everyone is a little bit different in what works for them. Whether it is blanket memorization or taking a deep dive into certain topics, I'm certain we can come up with a game plan that works. Taking the boards is probably one of the most stressful times in your academic career, but I'm certain I can get you to the point where you pass on the first try!
