Creating and crafting are absolute passions. Whether it’s crafts, art, bushcrafting, I’m always learning and excited about sharing new skills with others. I love to read biographies and humorous non-fiction.

About Me

I began my career as an early childhood educator, operated a child care business, and designed child centered curricula. I love it when the "light bulb" in the child's eyes turns on and the smile of understanding brightens their face. I’ve lived on 3 continents, am fairly fluent in 4 languages and love to meet new people through travel. I am an empty nester (2 successful grown children) and now 2 fur babies liven up my days.

Experience

As an early childhood educator, I operated my childcare business by making learning creative and fun for children 3 to 5. As apartheid ended in South Africa I played a part in integrating different racial and cultural groups through finding common ground. I participated in an adult literacy program for a few years which was operated by a local church.

Approach

I understand and appreciate that people learn in various ways. As a parent of neurodivergent children, I tutored them by utilizing varied methods until it “ clicked”. Humor, compassion and patience are vital to creating a positive learning environment.
