I’m Derek, father of two boys (9 and 13) with a third on the way, an engineer who loves learning, teaching and mentoring. I’m continuing my education, working towards a degree in Business Management. I bring patience, structure, and real-world experience to tutoring, helping students build confidence, master skills, and reach their GED goals.

I bring a unique mix of real-world experience as an engineer, veteran, and adventure guide into tutoring. I’ve mentored students, teammates, and young people in both technical and outdoor settings, teaching everything from problem-solving and math to navigation and critical thinking.
