Fun Facts

I am a mother of four daughters, three of whom are triplets, and I am extremely passionate about them. I work to be the best educator I can be because that is the experience I want for them, wherever they are in their learning.

About Me

I graduated from Georgia College and State University with a degree in Biology. I earned a Master's degree in science education from GA State University, while maintaining a 3.4 GPA. This led to a 25-year career in education, where I served as a high school science teacher. I am currently a district administrator for K-12 science, and I recently completed my leadership certification with a 4.0 GPA. As a teacher, I have been named Teacher of the Year once and STAR teacher two times.

Experience

I currently serve as a program manager for science and health/PE. I was a classroom teacher for 14 years, a teacher on special assignment for 5 years, and a program manager for 6 years. I have developed summer programs for both teachers and students, collaborating with community partners throughout my career. Working with FrogTutoring will allow me to get back to my first love of working with students and helping them accomplish their goals.

Approach

I have a deep passion for authentic student-centered learning experiences that make an impact. My approach to education is best captured by the quote by Carter Woodson: "The mere imparting of information is not education. Above all things, the effort must come from making a man think and do for himself."
