Fun Facts
I am absolutely obsessed with music! I listen to it almost constantly when I have free time, or even during school hours. I go to concerts frequently and enjoy a wide variety of music. My Spotify is currently sitting at over 7,000 liked songs.
About Me
I am in my 4th year of teaching at a Title 1 school located in Phoenix, AZ. I graduated from ASU's Mary Lou Fulton College with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2022, and have never looked back.
Experience
In high school, I was an active member of my school, participating in sports, student council, and NJHS. I have also been a planner - I love having a set schedule for things, as it helps me to be productive and positive.
Approach
I have been every kind of student. I've been the one who was in honours classes, the one who needed tutoring after school to catch up on key ideas I didn't understand, the one who makes others laugh, and the one who excels. That being said, I know that there will never be two students who "work" the same way for every challenge they face. It is because of this understanding that I can take a step back and help students to overcome their challenges.

English Tutoring
When I first began teaching, I taught 6th graders. I specifically planned for and taught the ELA lessons. This allowed me to become very familair with Middle School Standards for Reading and Writing.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Every week for 6th grade, we would assign homework. This emphasized the importance of planning out adequate time throughout the week for students to complete work which was further emphasized by the fact the homework was worth a grade. I've always been a big advocate for students having homework as it allows them to practice outside of school, and allows teachers to assess learning that is done outside of the school setting.

Math Tutoring
I am currently teaching 4th grade, and that involves teaching Math, specifically using the i-Ready Math curriculum. I've been doing trainings for it as it is a new program for my school, and am growing in my math knowledge with every session I attend. I have a great passion for breaking down important concepts for students, and encouraging them by using a gradual release way of teaching.

Basic Computer Skills Tutoring
I have taken many classes throughout high school and college to go over computer basics as we are very much in the middle of a digital skill society. I love working with the different Google Apps, and am more than willing to help others gain the skills I've worked on for so many years. I also have knowledge on programs that can help build typing skills and independency for using a computer.
