I am a Senior at Penn State. I hold an Associate's degree in science/tennessee/knoxville">Computer Science and am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business. I intend to pursue my Master's Degree after completing my undergraduate studies.
Experience
I have been a one-on-one tutor since 2015. I have tutored students of all ages, from 5 to 55+. I am an experienced programming and algebra tutor.
Approach
As a child, I was always a slow learner. I learned differently from most of my peers. I needed a one-on-one approach to be walked through each step. The classroom was often paced too quickly for my learning style. As I grew older, I learned that it was not shameful to learn differently, as long as we constantly stay learning. I take pride in my ability to determine each student's individual learning style and tailor my session to them.

Study Skills Tutoring
Learning is a marathon, not a sprint! Many students are tempted to cram all of their studying down into the last hour or two before an exam. In order to retain knowledge, we must study consistently. so that we are learning and not simply memorizing for the short term.

I am an avid writer. I have written many papers and conducted a lot of research for my college assignments, I enjoy assisting my students in their writing and helping them to grow their skills, both in vocabulary and research but also in learning how to cite their resources.
