Fun Facts
I am from California, love animals and am a big learner
About Me
I studied at UC Berkeley
Had a career as a programmer
I became a mechanic and am a seasoned mechanic, but I also love teaching
Experience
I've worked as a tutor for years and have advanced academic experience
Approach
My approach is very student-dependent. Not all people learn the same way. I would try to explain concepts visually first, drawing or graphing and possibly drawing an analogy. I can take different approaches because I have a lot of experience, so if, for instance, graphing doesn't work, then we might opt for raw algebraic solutions in a math context, for instance.
The idea is to use what's familiar to attempt to explain what is new. With enough exposure, hard things become more intuitive.
