Fun Facts
I love fashion. I own a fashion design business, and I'm expanding my portfolio of products. Also, I'm slowly becoming multilingual. English is my native language, and I'm learning Italian and Spanish concurrently.
About Me
I hold an Associate's degree in both Mathematics and Chemistry. I also have my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology. I'm taking a break from college, but I plan to return in the next few years to earn my PhD in Neuroscience.
Experience
During my time at community college, I spent approximately two years in the tutorial center helping students. I had both one-on-one sessions and group sessions with up to 10 people. I tutored many subjects, but my focus was on College Algebra and Introduction to Chemistry.
I also have about 2 years of freelance tutoring from middle school to college level, mainly in Math, Algebra, and Intro Chemistry courses.
Approach
I like to use metaphors and similes to make math problems about things students already know and love. Our brains feel less nervous about learning new things if they aren't completely new to us.
