Some fun facts about me are that I enjoy baking a variety of sweet treats. I have a pet corgi. My first trip outside the country was to Australia.

About Me

I graduated from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Public Health. I’ve been working with elementary students for over 2 years. I hope to continue pursuing higher education to earn my master’s degree.

Experience

Previously, as a program leader, I had the opportunity to help elementary students with their homework on subjects such as reading, writing, and math. Currently, I am a remote phonics tutor, and I have the opportunity to continue helping students improve their English Language literacy skills.

Approach

When I was younger, I was a student who didn’t always gravitate towards reading. It wasn’t until I had a teacher in 5th grade who inspired me to find my favorite genre of books. Their excitement and enthusiasm when describing book titles and reading excerpts were profoundly impactful to me. This, in return, led me to a whole world of literature that I found fascinating. From that day forward, I have always enjoyed reading books.
