Texas-born and raised, I’m a firm believer that “y’all” is just efficient communication. I’ve taught everyone from middle schoolers to graduate students, and I still get the same spark when a student finally “gets it.” I can break down math using BBQ, football, or even Buc-ee’s if that’s what makes it stick. Coffee and sweet tea power my planning, I brake for H-E-B, and after training 600+ teachers, I still love a good teachable moment the most.

About Me

I’m an educator with 30+ years of experience in math, education/texas/killeen">special education, and school leadership. I offer tutoring that’s clear, supportive, and tailored to each learner. My background in curriculum design, diagnostics, and SPED services allows me to break down concepts, build confidence, and help students make real, lasting progress.

Experience

With 30+ years in education, I’ve taught secondary math, supported diverse learners, and led SPED programs districtwide. I’ve trained hundreds of teachers, built curriculum, and improved outcomes for students. My background equips me to diagnose learning needs quickly, explain concepts clearly, and help students grow with confidence. My previous experience within higher education focused on up-and-coming teachers and administrators.

Approach

I believe that everyone can learn and grow. As an educator, I have to find a way to help my students achieve this goal. My teaching centers on clarity, confidence, and connection. I break complex skills into manageable steps, use real-world examples, and adjust instruction to each learner’s needs. I focus on building understanding rather than memorization, creating a supportive environment where students feel capable, engaged, and motivated to keep growing.
