Fun Facts

One fun fact about myself is that I LOVE fun facts! I am a huge trivia nerd and thoroughly enjoy classic game shows like Jeopardy as well as interactive games like Trivial Pursuit. I also love horseback riding, dancing, and both classic and foreign movies. Casablanca is one of my favorites! Learning foreign languages is also a passion of mine, I am proficient in Italian, and am currently learning Turkish!

About Me

I am a 2010 International Studies graduate from dickinson-college">Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. I am currently also employed through AmeriCorps as an adult ESOL instructor in Falls Church, VA. I plan on attending graduate school to earn my Masters in Foreign Service, hopefully from georgetown-university">Georgetown University. Before that, however, I hope to earn a Fulbright scholarship to teach English at the University level in Turkey. My ultimate goal is to work on refugee and immigrant issues in Washington D.C.

Since then I have worked through AmeriCorps both washington-dc">tutoring refugee children in English and Math and teaching adults English in my current position. I am a very dedicated washington-dc">tutor and am very excited to get to know and mentor my new students!
