I have seven years of experience supporting elementary students with reading comprehension through structured, assessment-driven instruction. My work includes helping students strengthen skills such as main idea, inference, summarizing, and text-based evidence using developmentally appropriate texts. I focus on building understanding, confidence, and stamina so students can engage meaningfully with what they read.
Reading Tutoring
I am a trained Reading Interventionist with experience using Reading Recovery®, RTI, LLI, and structured literacy approaches to support early and developing readers. I work closely with phonics, decoding, fluency, and sight word development, adjusting instruction based on each student’s needs. My approach is supportive and systematic, helping students feel capable while making steady progress.
Writing Tutoring
I have extensive experience supporting K–2 students as they develop early writing skills, including letter formation, sentence structure, and expressing ideas on paper. I help young writers build confidence through guided practice, modeling, and developmentally appropriate prompts. My approach supports both the mechanics of writing and the joy of sharing their thoughts in words.
