A fun fact about me is that I have an orange cat named Ducky. I did not properly adopt him. He just walked into my house one day and stayed.
About Me
I am a recent graduate of Kennesaw State University. I majored in environmental science and dance, receiving a cumulative GPA of 3.87. I hope to work in environmental science education, fostering generational care for this place we call home!
Experience
I specialise in ecology, but have a very well-rounded science knowledge base. In college, I often studied with other students and ended up acting as a tutor. I excelled in my college courses and also participated in field ecology research. I have taught ecology classes to my mom's third-grade students and created dance lesson plans. I am confident that with my knowledge base and creative problem-solving skills, we can get your student to a point where they feel successful.
Approach
My approach is geared toward creating a web of knowledge that will intuitively make sense. My goal is for students to not just regurgitate facts but to have an ecosystem of knowledge in their area of study. This will serve as a foundation to further learning and also allow them to see throughlines, which will make them prepared to answer complex questions.

Environmental Science
Chemistry I Tutoring
In my undergraduate I received a 'B' in chemistry 1. Later, in chemistry 2 which builds upon chemistry 1 knowledge I received an A, getting 100's on 2 exams. I tutored a friend in general chemistry a year later when she was having difficulties with the subject matter and she passed the course.
Environmental Science Tutoring
I excelled in my undergraduate environmental science courses, receiving multiple exams scores at or over 100%. I did so through rigorous and tactical studying. I worked closely with professors to grow in my knowledge base and am excited to pass that mentorship onward to students I tutor.

In my undergraduate experience, I excelled in all biology courses, receiving A's in all courses. I did so through tactical studying skills in which I created a web of knowledge to refer to. This base knowledge of biology set me up to thrive in upper level biology courses.

Earth sciences have my heart. I was a star student in all college environmental science courses and even took AP Environmental Science as a highschooler! I have received multiple many exam scores over 100%. This is due to my tactical studying skills which allowed me to foster an ecosystem of knowledge. I look forward to passing this along!

Often times in when studying we aim to memorize. When it comes time for answering analytical questions about the subject, we are often blindsided. My approach to studying focuses on creating a web of knowledge that allows us to see connections and throughlines when faced with difficult questions. Color and organization is always at the forefront of the studying process but, creating visual and mental webs where we allow ourselves to think out of the box allows for deeper nuanced understandings.
