Fun Facts

I love to be in nature, especially hiking and gardening. I like to travel and try new foods. I love chocolate! One fun fact about me is that I trained in Taekwondo for three years.

About Me

I worked in Tech for many years, but now I am focused on tutoring. I am fluent in Spanish, having grown up in a Spanish-speaking (Colombian) household. I attended Barnard College, majoring in Psychology and Biology. I got my Master's from New York University and a PhD in cognitive engineering from Ohio State University.

Experience

I have been a Reading Tutor to K-5 age children at the library. I am also an ESL instructor to Spanish-speaking families who want to learn English.

Approach

I believe learners thrive when they have someone who makes learning fun and interesting and can tailor instruction to their needs. I am patient and good-natured and enjoy helping people.
