About Me

I am a graduate of Towson University with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have a Master's degree in STEM Leadership from the maryland">College of Notre Dame of Maryland, and I've been working in education for 18 years.

Experience

Over the past 18 years, I have taught math and science to students in grades 2–8, developing strong instructional practices that support conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and student engagement across diverse learning needs.

Approach

My approach to teaching is student-centred, intentional, and grounded in high expectations with strong support. I believe all students can learn and reason mathematically when instruction is explicit, engaging, and responsive to their needs. I prioritize making thinking visible by modelling strategies, using precise mathematical language, and providing structured opportunities for students to explain their reasoning orally and in writing. I intentionally incorporate routines.
