About Me
Hope grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota, where she graduated from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 2020 with her B.S. in biochemistry. She has had the opportunity to research with NASA and worked in Prairie Aquatech labs to help develop/refine their novel fermentation process for agricultural feed before moving to Gunnison, CO. She aims to help students score a 5 on the AP Chemistry test or students struggling with autism/ADHD to hone their studying skills. Hope spends her free time learning web development and graphic design, taking on projects for local business owners.
Experience
Having worked with students from a young age, I’ve tutored in many subjects with the YMCA after-school programs, as a high school honour roll mentor, and in college as a peer mentor for Algebra and Chemistry
Approach
As someone who is neurodivergent, I realize the importance of 1 on 1 mentorship and can make the difference between failing a class and being a 4.0 GPA student.
Having learned the necessary skills needed to conquer any subject and use my ADHD to my advantage, I have made it my goal to help other neurodivergent students become masters in hard subjects like math and science, as well as learn the tools they need to succeed.
