I love to draw and have a double major in theatre! Creativity and art are two of my passions in life, I love to decorate my home, clothes and do art projects. I love watching movies, shows, playing games and reading books. Taking in media in general, as well as writing my own stories.

About Me

Current college student majoring in Education and Theatre, I have worked this past year as a one-on-one public tutor with ASU's America Reads. I have found a passion for teaching students to read and be able to express themselves via writing after teaching my little sister how to read and write. While being a student at ASU, I am excited for when I can graduate and work in the classroom with older students, although I believe that it is important to have some experience with all ages to work with all types of kids.

Experience

Working with ASU's America Reads as a public tutor at a Boys and Girls club, I have worked with 3rd and 4th grade since August 2024. Teaching them reading, writing and math. I have helped run and work workshops in theatre for middle schoolers and am majoring in Secondary Education.

Approach

It can be hard to notice what a student needs help with. I easily pinpoint problems and am direct with lesson planning, learning and solving. All I need is a little willingness from students, and I will meet them at whatever level they are at. Whether that means dismantling my lesson to take it down a notch, or amping the difficulty, whatever they need. I love to take creativity and compassion into my lessons, to tailor to what the child needs both in that moment and in the future.
