About Me

I recently graduated cum laude from USC with a degree in International Relations. I've always loved learning and teaching, and I have a strong ability to break down complex ideas into something clearer and easier to understand. Writing is another passion of mine. I write creatively in my free time and always enjoyed putting together a paper, so I spent so much of my academic career helping friends with essays. I’m especially interested in tutoring because I want to build confidence and help students feel more in control of their learning.

Experience

I have experience providing one-on-one academic coaching to high school students, focusing on study skills, organization, and test-taking strategies. I’ve also supported peers in editing essays and talking through difficult concepts, which strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and break down complex ideas to drive understanding. I have continued honing this skill in my professional work, where I regularly translate complex materials into accessible and engaging language.

Approach

I am a cheerleader for my students, and I'm always cognisant of adapting to their needs and shifting my approach when they're having trouble understanding the material. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment that allows students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Ultimately, my goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the process and build the confidence to succeed on their own.
