Fun Facts
I love cliff diving into the ocean. I am an outdoors person and love travel and adventure. I one day hope to own a set of jet ski's. I love to snorkel and I would like to do so in several different Caribbean Islands.
About Me
I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and the delaware">University of Delaware. I am currently a full-time instructor with Miami-Dade Public Schools. My short term goal is to become a Assistant Principal in the public school system.
Experience
I am a classroom teacher of 15 years. I have taught all the disciplines in Social Studies. I have a total of 5 years experience as a miami">tutor. My experiences range from after school programs to adult Ed. My miami">tutoring subjects have been in all subject areas including basic computer skills.
Approach
My approach to most subjects is "sticking with the basics". My experience as a classroom teacher has allowed me to understand that most areas of struggle are in areas where the basic foundation was not mastered. I enjoy the journey I experience with a student when they have learned the "missing link" in their ability to master a subject and are given tools for mastery. I assess the strengths that a student has in that area and build upon it. Working from strength becomes a positive experience.
